Chaska Jurado is a fine art photographer, video artist, and educator from Lima, Peru. She is based in Los Angeles and is currently an MFA candidate at The California Institute of the Arts. Her art practice is informed by a bi-cultural upbringing and often deals in liminal spaces. She uses image-making to present visualizations of alienation and talk about uncomfortable silences — the quiet, transitional moments before and after significant events.
